Bailey is more than just our mascot — she’s the heart and soul of Bailey’s Path. Born in December 2022, this small black Labrador has been by Michael’s side since she was just a pup. Her calm, gentle nature and boundless love for people make her the perfect companion for the work we do.

From the start, Bailey has shown a natural gift for comforting those around her. She doesn’t just wag her tail — she connects, whether it’s leaning in for a hug, resting her head on someone’s lap, or simply being present when words aren’t enough. Her favorite activities are playing fetch, tug of war, and giving her signature doggy hugs.

Bailey is currently training to become a certified therapy dog, so she can visit children and families served by Bailey’s Path, bringing comfort, joy, and unconditional love during difficult times. Soon, she’ll be joining us on more of our transportation missions, offering passengers a friendly face and a soft paw to hold.

When she’s not working, Bailey enjoys long walks, treats (especially peanut butter), and soaking up every ounce of attention she can get. To everyone who meets her, she’s more than a dog — she’s a friend, a comfort, and a reminder that even the smallest acts of love can make the biggest difference.

We are so excited to share some wonderful news—our sweet Bailey has officially passed her second therapy dog test! She is now more than halfway through her certification journey, with just two more tests to go before she becomes an official certified therapy dog.

Bailey has been working hard, showing her natural love for people, her calm temperament, and her ability to bring comfort to everyone she meets. Each test she passes brings her one step closer to spreading joy and healing in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and at Bailey’s Path events.

This round of testing was such a positive experience. Bailey handled the challenges with confidence and plenty of tail wags. Her gentle nature continues to shine, and it’s clear she was born for this important work.

Becoming a certified therapy dog is more than just training—it’s about sharing love, hope, and companionship. We couldn’t be prouder of Bailey for her dedication (and endless puppy kisses along the way).
